Villain & Saint "Express" Opens at the Market!
Chef Robert Wiedmaier opens on the corner of Willow and Wisconsin and brings to the Farm Women's Market quick, locally sourced, fast food at great prices for those on the go! Burritos, Cheese-burgers, Chicken Caesar Salad and Beef Chili are among the "comfort" foods you'll find at this little oasis away from "nutritiously correct" fare... No quinoa or kale on the menu! A brand of Good & Evil food... Come back after work and visit the "Big House" next door and chill out to some tunes and down a few brews...
Gourmet Weekend Entertaining...
When the weekend is around the corner and you don't feel like cooking, stop by the Market for a delightful quick "take home" meal to satisfy family and friends. And, for that sweet tooth afterwards, be sure to include a treat from Spring Mill Bread Co. or brownies from Sandy at Chesapeake Catering.
Spring Mill Bread Co. provides fresh muffins and sweets in the morning plus a wide variety of breads including vegetarian and vegan options. Perhaps even more scrumptious are their fresh baked Challahs and Apple pies... Everything is made from scratch with no preservatives before the sun rises. Five stars for a few bucks!
Avalon Springs Farm
Proprietor Karen Schlossberg brings the finest yarns from her own livestock in Mt. Airy, Maryland. Avalon Spring's animals include a collection of Angora and Colored Angora Goats, Llama and Alpaca livestock. For those who enjoy knitting or prefer buying the final creation, Karen is on hand to talk "shop" and help you choose colors and fibers...
La Bohemia joins our Market!
Our famous croissants, tarts and baguettes have returned in the form of La Bohemia Bakery. St. Michel's Bertrand Houlier personally trained and mentored the new owners in the authentic traditions of truly scrumptious French baguettes and croissants. Please stop by the Farm Women's Market to begin a new tradition....
